Autumnal Equinox 2026

Hi friends,

As we turn toward autumn, I feel the pull inward and downward more strongly. The light shifts. The air changes. We begin, almost without noticing, to listen differently.

This issue of the Dreamshadow Journal feels like that to me. It holds so many different kinds of voices and ways of knowing, from academic work to poetry and art, from careful intellectual inquiry to first-person experience. I am always moved by the courage of this community, and by the sheer emotional and intellectual range of what people are willing to bring forward.

That breadth matters to me. Dreamshadow has never been about one way of making meaning. We are an eclectic community, and the journal gives us a place to keep meeting one another there, across all those delightful differences.

This is one of the ways the thread stays alive.

With great love,
