Radio Show with Luke Loseth

Following my completion of step one of the Dreamshadow’s® education and training certification program last year, I’ve started making two-hour practice mixes for my monthly show, Good Sine, on a Montreal-based online radio station n10.as.

I’m enjoying getting the opportunity to regularly be thinking about curation, mood, and flow, expanding my repertoire and keeping my mixing skills sharp, crafting a seamless experience. It puts me back on the mat, so to speak, re-entering that space briefly throughout the day.

While I’m mostly following the basic arc of Activation–Crisis–Conversion–Resolution, I’m keeping this as an opportunity to explore and play, and so I’m not worrying too much about sticking fully to it. I might drop an activation-type track deeper in conversion, for example, just to see how it feels. It’s interesting to listen back later once I’ve forgotten exactly what I did, to critique myself and refine my ideas moving forward.

Thank you to Matt and the rest of the Dreamshadow music team for the work they’ve done in maintaining the playlists; it’s helped me immensely already in opening up my range and keeping the ideas flowing.

Each month’s mix is added to the archive, but you can catch them live on the first Thursday of every month, from 2 to 4pm eastern time, on n10.as.

See you in the circle,

Luke
